Bookmarklet

ReadCast provides Bookmarklets so you can easily save articles straight from your browser.

How to Use

Using your bookmarklet is easy. When you find an article you want to save, just click on the bookmark. Your page will reload and the article will be converted to audio.

How to Install

Installing your bookmarklet depends on what browser you're using. We've got a guide on installing for both Safari and Google Chrome.

Safari

First things first, login and visit your settings page. Somewhere on the page you'll find a section with your bookmarklet.

All you need to do is drag the red bookmarklet button to the bookmarks bar. Your bookmark has now been installed.

Google Chrome

First things first, login and visit your settings page. Somewhere on the page you'll find a section with your bookmarklet.

Now you need to right click on the red bookmarklet button and click on 'Copy Link Address'. Then create a new bookmark with and copy the URL from your clipboard. You're bookmark has now been installed!

Issues

Browser support

Bad news is that some browsers don't like bookmarklets because they allow you to run arbitrary code in the browser. If your browser is one of the one's that doesn't like bookmarklets, you could also try saving via email.

Signed out

Sometimes you might get an error like this when trying to save something using our bookmarklet.

When this happens, all you need to do is login to ReadCast and try again.

Subscription not active

If you're subscription has ended, you will lose access to your articles and your bookmarklet. In order to restore access, you'll need to resubscribe.
